Itinerary:
Ghetto Walls – approx. 20 min (Admission Free)
Meet your private guide near the Schindler’s Factory Museum, where the tour begins with an introduction to Kraków during the Nazi occupation and the creation of the ghetto.
Your first stop is a preserved fragment of the Ghetto Wall — one of the few remaining parts of the barrier that once enclosed the district. Here, your guide will explain how the wall was built, its symbolic design, and the realities faced by those forced to live inside.
Ghetto Heroes Square – approx. 20 min (Admission Free)
Continue to Ghetto Heroes Square, formerly known as Plac Zgody, the place where deportations were organized. Today, the square is marked by the powerful Chair Memorial, representing the belongings left behind by families who were taken away.
Under the Eagle Pharmacy – approx. 20 min (Admission Ticket Not Included)
The tour concludes at the Under the Eagle Pharmacy. During the war, pharmacist Tadeusz Pankiewicz and his staff secretly helped Jewish residents of the ghetto, providing medicine and support despite the risks.
This final stop offers a deeply human perspective on the events that took place in the ghetto. The tour ends nearby, giving you time for quiet reflection or further exploration of Podgórze’s memorial sites.
